A host of famous faces, including David Furnish and Benedict Cumberbatch, and the leading lights of the fashion world enjoyed this spectacular viewing event at Christies South Kensington showrooms, sponsored by Faberge and Silver Patron Tequila.
Style icon Daphne Guinness, heiress to the Guinness empire, was auctioning 100 personal items from her wardrobe in aid of the Isabella Blow Foundation. Established in memory of the influential fashion magazine editor who died in 2007, this charity supports art and fashion students and research into depression and mental health.
The auction featured clothes and shoes belonging to Ms Guinness, as well as selected photographs. The star lot was a photograph taken for British Vogue by fashion photographer Mario Testino, which sold for £133,250. In total, the auction raised almost £1/2 million, with Lady Gaga being the largest spender.
